Therapy Modalities & Approaches

Our licensed clinicians are trained in evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique needs, background, and goals.

Individual Therapy

One-on-one sessions with a licensed therapist in a private, confidential setting. We offer flexible scheduling including evening and weekend appointments.

Therapeutic Approaches:
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — Identify and change unhelpful thought patterns
  • Trauma-Focused CBT — Process traumatic experiences in a safe, structured way
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — Build skills for emotional regulation and distress tolerance
  • Motivational Interviewing — Explore and resolve ambivalence about change
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy — Goal-oriented approach for practical problem-solving
  • Mindfulness-Based Interventions — Cultivate present-moment awareness and acceptance

Session Length: 45-60 minutes | Frequency: Weekly or bi-weekly based on your needs

Group Therapy & Support

Facilitated group sessions provide peer support, shared learning, and community connection. All groups are led by licensed clinicians in a structured, supportive environment.

  • Trauma Recovery Group — Process trauma with others who understand
  • Substance Use Recovery — Support for maintaining sobriety and healthy coping
  • Depression & Anxiety Support — Learn coping strategies and build resilience
  • DBT Skills Training — Practice mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Parenting Skills Group — Build positive parenting strategies and family communication
  • Peer Support Circles — Informal, peer-led gatherings for connection and mutual support

Group Size: 6-12 participants | Schedule: Multiple times per week, rolling admission

Substance Use Counseling

Evidence-based treatment for alcohol and drug use disorders including harm reduction, MAT support, and relapse prevention.

Medication Management & Psychiatric Services

Our psychiatric nurse practitioners and consulting psychiatrists provide comprehensive medication evaluation and ongoing management integrated with your therapy.

Psychiatric Evaluation

Comprehensive mental health assessment by a psychiatric nurse practitioner or psychiatrist to determine if medication may be helpful as part of your treatment plan.

What to Expect:
  • 60-90 minute initial evaluation covering mental health history, symptoms, and goals
  • Review of current medications, medical conditions, and substance use
  • Discussion of medication options, benefits, and potential side effects
  • Collaborative decision-making about treatment approach
  • Coordination with your therapist and primary care provider

Important: Medication is never required. We believe in informed choice and will support whatever decision feels right for you.

Ongoing Medication Support

Regular follow-up appointments to monitor medication effectiveness, adjust dosages as needed, and address any concerns or side effects you experience.

  • Monthly medication management appointments (15-30 minutes)
  • Same-day or next-day response for medication concerns
  • Start low, go slow philosophy to minimize side effects
  • Education about how medications work and what to expect
  • Medication assistance programs for those without insurance
  • Coordination with pharmacy for easy prescription refills

Integrated Care: Your psychiatric provider works closely with your therapist to ensure medication and therapy complement each other.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Your mental health information is protected by strict confidentiality laws. We take your privacy seriously and will never share your information without your written permission.

HIPAA Protections

All behavioral health services are protected under federal HIPAA privacy laws and Nevada state confidentiality regulations.

What This Means:
  • Your therapy sessions are completely confidential
  • We cannot confirm or deny you’re a client without your permission
  • Mental health records are separate from medical records
  • You control who can access your information
  • Electronic records are encrypted and secure

Extra Protection: Substance use treatment records have additional federal confidentiality protections under 42 CFR Part 2.

Limits to Confidentiality

We’re required by law to break confidentiality only in specific situations where safety is at risk. We’ll always discuss these limits with you at your first session.

Risk of Harm to Self or Others

If we believe you’re in immediate danger of hurting yourself or someone else, we may need to take action to keep everyone safe

Child or Elder Abuse

We’re mandated reporters for suspected abuse or neglect of children, elderly, or dependent adults

Court Orders

In rare cases, a judge may order release of records (we will notify you and work to protect your privacy)

Billing & Insurance

If using insurance, we must provide diagnosis and basic treatment information to your insurance company
